The day I adopted Tookie, my life changed. I didn’t even know how many changes were coming my way, I just knew things would never be the same.

 

I was born an animal lover but adulting turned me into a corporate slave. From compassion to impatience, content to greed, love to jealousy were only a few of the many changes I incorporated into myself to ensure I become a success. But my love and connection with animals stayed intact.

 

I’m a foster fail and the day I adopted Tookie, I knew my life would never be the same again. Due to my busy schedule she had to spend a lot of time alone, in day care or at home with my cook.

 

Like everyone else I too had the usual stresses of relationships and work pressures which I thought I was dealing with. But things just didn’t seem right – getting out of bed would be such a task, so I just wouldn’t for days, getting in to work crying & spending most of the time in the loo coz I was having a panic attack became the norm. With time and support I was diagnosed with Depression and anxiety and was promptly put on some heavy meds that definitely made me feel better.

Through all of this Tookie was by my side with her own skin issues.

 

Drugged I resumed my routine and the feeling of not feeling anything& emptiness became the new norm. For Tookie, the new norm was brutally scratching and biting her back raw. I tried all doctors and everyone came up with steroids and chicken allergy. But the biting did not stop.

 

Through a chance encounter, I enrolled into Kryon Wisdom Centre’s Reiqi and Telepathic Communication workshop with Humans, Plants and Animals in Sept. Having never done reiqi or telepathic communication before, the 3 days just blew my mind with the kind of information I got.

 

Tookie communicated her love for chicken and how she was picking up on my anxiety and stress of being in a marriage that wasn’t working and she was reflecting that through her biting and the biggest gift was a clear message from the animals to connect the humans to the animal world by creating a safe space for them.

 

I left the workshop with the most surreal feeling and decided to put all my learning’s into action. I quit my safe corporate job to open House of Pawz, a 3000 square ft cage-less pet boarding, under the guidance and support of Kryon Wisdom Centre Team.

 

Doing the 60 days post practices of Reiqi helped me immensely to work on my stress and anxiety which immediately reflected in Tookie’s biting completely stopping. I had started feeling happier and lighter and I could see the changes around me. .the pets coming were calmer and less anxious. They shared how they felt and I was able to tell them it was a safe place for them. Giving them reiqi would automatically calm them down. I have received so much guidance from them too in return especially about my control issues with them.

 

 

I went in and enrolled myself for Reiqi level 2 and 3 and started assisting them in the workshops and completed all the workshops they had to offer. I even learnt canine training under them which includes communication. I love the team and work so much that I now work with them full time.

 

Infact, between all of these upgrades my second pet Calf adopted me and everything happened so seamlessly, Tookie and Calf are inseparable and we all just adjusted to each other beautifully.

 

In fact Calf is also now one of our training dogs and is part of all the training sessions that are held at HoP.
